Take pictures of animals you only get to see in Belize. The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center started in 1983 with only a collection of wild animals that were used in making a documentary film about tropical forests. The animals who reside here were orphaned, born at the zoo, rehabilitated animals, or sent here as gifts, from other zoological institutions.
