About the Opening
Description / Objective
Objective 
We're searching for someone to join our team as an Operations Manager for our partner company, Belize Ground Shuttle. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing transportation policies, standards, and steps taken. This is done in accordance with the shuttle business and customers' needs. The Operations Manager is also responsible for managing shuttle business resources, including manpower, resources, and external agents/partners. The Operations Manager is required to be capable and persuasive, in order to manage resources and market Belize Ground Shuttle. The Operations Manager is also expected to lead a department and make business decisions.
 
Key Responsibilities
The Operations Manager is accountable for the following tasks:
  • Align resource management (manpower and asset) strategy with business strategy across different business activities;
  • Anticipate emerging shuttle operations parameters to determine future resource requirements;
  • Manage overall transportation operations;
  • Review areas in logistics operations where technology can enhance processes;
  • Review booking consolidation plans to identify space, cost, and efficiency savings;
  • Review the effectiveness of the risk management plan and resources for the transport execution;
  • Review incident or crisis management plans to mitigate gaps;
  • Hiring, training, and supervising employees to ensure that they are following company policies and procedures;
  • Reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations;
  • Prepare and submit reports on the department’s activities, progress, and problems encountered
  • Conducting training programs to ensure that employees are familiar with their jobs and safe operating procedures;
  • Ensuring that all vehicles are in good working order and properly maintained;
  • Coordinating with other departments within an organization to ensure that transportation needs are met;
  • Scheduling staff to ensure that vehicles are staffed according to established requirements;
  • Investigating accidents to determine the cause of the accident and making recommendations for preventing similar accidents in the future;
  • Evaluating employee performance and recommending promotions or terminations as needed;
  • Ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and operated in accordance with laws and regulations.
 
Min Qualifications / Requirements
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field;
  • 1-3 years of sales experience;
  • Knowledge of digital sales processes, digital platforms, technical markets, pricing models, channels of distribution, technology trends, customer buying patterns, and budgeting.
  • Must have knowledge of digital media advertising, digital marketing, competitive strategies, product marketing, and product management.
Additionally, the following areas of experience will strengthen the application

  • Detailed oriented, organized, and good with numbers/figures;
  • Highly motivated professional;
  • Experience with Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, Travel OTAs, and Social Media Platforms;
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing;
  • Verbal and written communication skills in Spanish are an asset;
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close;
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask;
  • Strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines;
  • Good IT and CRM Knowledge;
  • Presentation skills;
  • Negotiation;
  • Market knowledge, monitoring, and result tracking;
  • Building Relationships;
  • Ability to identify and solve client issues successfully.

  2. Phase 2 will include a series of tests including a typing speed test and an aptitude test;
  3. The results of the tests will be reviewed and should the applicant be deemed suitable, based on the submitted test results, phase 3 of the recruitment process will be scheduled;
  4. Phase 3 is an online interview between recruiters of LetsGoBelizing Ltd. and the applicant.
