AMAZING Tour!!! Highlyyyyyy recommend!!
Our tour started early. Our first driver Victor picked us up, promptly at the arranged time, right at the front door of our hotel!! It was amazing! We switched guides at the border of Guatamala. Victor was incredibly personal. He was completely fluent in English and Spanish. Both were necessary for this trip. During the drive to the border we were trying to soak up all of his knowledge. Victor has ... more been a local guide for a long time and is well polished. He knows everything you'd expect a guide to know and a whole lot more. When we arrived at the border of Belize/Guatemala, Victor walked into immigration with us and took care of all of the finances and made sure that we safely made it through to Guatemala. He also delivered us personally to the next guide, Christian, and introduced us to each other. Christian was also incredibe. He was responsible for driving us the hour or so drive to Tikal and getting us into the park and showing us all of its beauty. He was also a wealth of information. We again eagerly soaked up as much as we could. He also gave us the correct amount of time to ourselves where we were able to just enjoy the momentand enjoy how special the grounds that we were standing on. He graciously photographed us with our cameras. On the drive back, he took us to an amazing spot for lunch. We were treated like royalty there. The food was absolute perfection and service top notch. We're SO glad we invested in this tour. We truly feel enriched. The tour cost was expensive for us. It was worth every penny and we can't imagine doing it any other way. When all the costs are considered: two guides, two vans, 9 hours of driving with expensive Belizean fuel costs, immigration costs, park entrance fees, lunch costs, this tour truly is a tremendous value. Thank you so very much to Victor and Christian for ensuring this memory lasts a lifetime.
