The visitor bathes in the nearby creek, where the family bathes. Meals are not special but what the family eats everyday, which is corn tortillas with eggs, beans and hot pepper and occasionally game meat or local chicken. Visitors are expected to participate in family activities including making tortillas, washing in the creek and even going to a milpa (small crop field cleared from the forest). With a/c, Wi-Fi, and cable TV, the rooms are immaculate, and the atmosphere's friendly and cheerful. One room has a kitchenette, and there's also a small common kitchen with refrigerator and microwave.
Mr Tate keeps his guesthouse in immaculate condition and it's the best budget deal in the town center. The six rooms inside the mauve two-story facade, set in a little garden with a gazebo, are all air-conditioned and good value at these rates.
