Huge open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. The island is spacious enough to comfortable seat six, the kitchen fully equipped with the latest appliances, crockery and cookware. Living and bedroom areas have great artwork from both local and international artists.
The master bedroom with queen bed has a full en-suite bathroom and dressing area. It has a walkout balcony that leads down to the pool and beach.
The second bedroom has two queen beds and also has a walkout balcony that leads down to the pool and beach. The second bathroom has shower, toilet and single vanity.
There is also a separate laundry room with washer, dryer and ironing board. The swimming pool and deck are just off the house, and there is also a freshwater shower by the pool for rinsing off after you have been in the pool or ocean.
On the beach there is a private palapa with hammocks, and your own little beach bar - bring your own bartender! The house is centrally located in Maya Beach, just a short walk to the nearest grocery store and a selection of restaurants including Singing Sands, Mangos and more. We do recommend car rental for getting around.

The cabana hosts a maximum of 2 people and is a perfect hangout for all the activities on the island. Inside is a small living area with kitchen (stove/oven, fridge, all necessary utensils), half separate bedroom with a queen bed and a spacious shower/bathroom. Outside is a comfortable veranda with hammock. The cabana does not have hot water, but in a tropical climate you'll be happy to take a refreshing shower.
Close to the house -about 50 yards from the property- is our dock, which is a perfect spot for a morning coffee, sunbathing, or a dip in the water. This dock also gives you a front row seat to the most beautiful sunsets. If you like dogs, you're at the right spot: we have 2 very friendly dogs who love to play.
The cabana itself is located in the backyard of the very unique and authentic (outdoor) restaurant 'Wish Willy Bar & Grill', run by the owner. The restaurant is not more than a couple of tables and chairs in the yard and you have to walk through it to reach your cabana. From the veranda you look out over the restaurant. Right now the restaurant is closed because of COVID but it is possible to order meals if you like.
As a guest you have access to all the hammocks in the yard, the restaurant and our dock. We also rent kayaks & paddle boards for reasonable prices.

Birdhouses is composed of three birdhouses! They are Hummingbird House in orange tones, Woodpecker House in blue tones and Pelican House and in purple tones!
As part of Birdhouses there is a very private sigüal that can only be used by guests, when the tide is high, one can fish from there!
Only Birdhouses guests are allowed inside the premises!
We give our guests a cellphone to be able to contact us for anything that they may need, plus we live close by, although not too close, so that they may have privacy!
There are five villas located at Caye Villas, a beautifully landscaped beachfront property. The villas are tastefully decorated with our hand-picked collection of Belizean, Guatemalan ... moreand African objects and art. The first floor consists of three bedrooms and three in-suite bathrooms. The north bedroom has a fun outdoor shower that can be used for rinsing the salt water off or for showering outside among the plants. Each bedroom as well as the living area is individually air conditioned.
The second level has a large Great Room which includes a comfortable living area combined with a dining room and kitchen. The Great Room is decorated with original paintings, Guatemalen antiques, and African artifacts. The dining area easily accommodates 8 guests for dinner. There are spacious porches off of each floor and the terrace off the Great Room offers a sweeping 180 degree view up and down the coast with enough area for both a hammock and a sitting area. Two sea kayaks are provided for your use during your stay. Housekeeping service is provided every other day of your stay. Caye Villas provides onsite caretakers as well as night security to make your stay more comfortable!
