Exploring the Jaguar trail provides a unique experience and a chance to connect with nature and experience the wonders of the Belizean Rainforest. This is known as a home to wildlife including howler monkeys, spider monkeys, tapirs, numerous bird species and many cave systems in which we explore.

Day 1:

Trek through the jungles of Belize to Camp 1, as you learn about the flora and fauna.

Set camp (we use sleeping hammocks with mosquito net)

Set Jungle motion cameras on strategic locations to capture photographs of wildlife during night time

Night hike for nocturnal wildlife spotting (optional)

Day 2:

After breakfast, we will trek to the second camp, (creek side camp). Amidst this tropical paradise, tucked away in the heart of the jungle are 2 remarkable dry Caves that we will explore, where history, nature, and pure exhilaration intertwine. Brace yourself as we uncover the secrets of these ancient treasures and discover this new highlight of our Jaguar Trail jungle trek and caving expedition.

Then We will go explore the Mayan Temple Altun ha, you'll get to hike to the top ad around it with our guide giving you all you need to know about the site and the maya world. Then we head deeper into the jungle to go explore the cave systems. We will hike for about 20mins with out tubes through the jungle, you'll get a fun lesson on plant identification, insect identification and all their medicinial uses throughout history in Belize. Then we cave tube down the river and through several caves enjoying the scenery. Lastly we Zipline over the jungle canopy. We then return to Caye Caulker in the evening around 4pm/5pm.

A tour of the Mayan site of Xunantunich is a must-do activity when visiting the country of Belize. From Belize City, your driver/guide will drive you the entire length of the western highway for about 1 1/2 hours to get to the site. Along the way, you will be presented with interesting information about the country as you view the beautiful mountainous landscape. You will be crossing the Mopan River by way of a hand-crank ferry to get to the site itself. This ferry has always been the mode of transportation to access Xunantunich. Once on the site, you will be guided through the museum as you start your tour. You then get to walk through several plazas and then get to climb up El Castillo and view both the east and west stucco frieze. These are huge hieroglyphic writings and symbols on the wall of this gigantic building. From on top of this ancient building, you will be amazed by the beauty of the landscape of western Belize and you also get to see a portion of Guatemala our neighboring country in the west.
