Activity
Description
Day 1: Welcome to BelizeArrive into Belize City International Airport where your private guide will meet and welcome you. Travel through beautiful landscapes as you travel south to Punta Gorda in the Toledo district, where you will check in to you hotel and enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day 2: Archeology and caving adventureLearn about the ancient Maya world during a guided tour of the Nim Li Punit archeological site in Indian Creek village. Enjoy local flavours with an East Indian buffet lunch. In the afternoon, hike along Blue Creek, and be prepared to get wet as you immerse in the cool refreshing waters at the top! Venture into the cave system, wading and swimming through different chambers, reaching the waterfalls within. Dinner will be at a local restaurant in Punta Gorda.
Day 3: River Wildlife tourExplore the beautiful Rio Grande River by boat, where you can see exotic birds, river turtles, howler monkeys and maybe even crocodiles! Stop for lunch at the TIDE field station, then enjoy an easy hike along a wildlife trail to learn more about local flora and fauna. Enjoy dinner in Punta Gorda.
Day 4: Marine Reserve SnorkelingDelve into clear blue waters with a day of snorkeling in the Port Honduras Marine Reserve. Stop in at the TIDE ranger station to learn about management of the reserve, visit beautiful sandy cayes, and snorkel colourful coral reef areas. Visit a local restaurant for dinner
Day 5: DepartureRoad transfers to Belize City International Airport for departure flights or other onward travel
