About the Opening

Description / Objective

We are looking for a Technical Manager to work with us as we create and finalize the online and mobile e-learning systems for our project the Belizing Tourism Innovation Lab. The Technical Manager will oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the applications and processes, including troubleshooting any potential issues. Additionally, the Technical Manager will provide technical support to users of the platform and make changes to its functionality and design when needed.

This platform will be accessed by web and mobile applications. The initial iteration of each application has already been developed, and we are currently working on the polished version that will be released at the conclusion of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and manage the development of the final version of the E-learning Platform;
Develop, integrate, and maintain the web and mobile applications and APIs;
Provide technical reports on the status of the applications;
Manage user accounts and provide technical support on any errors or issues encountered;
Develop SOPs on how to use the platform;
Make technical changes to the functionality and design of the applications as requested to improve the user experience.

Min Qualifications / Requirements

Min a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or other related disciplines;
Extensive experience in technical management, preferably in a related industry;
Advanced knowledge of CIS innovation and integration;
Ensuring optimal hardware and software functionality, as well as network security;
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

LetsGoBelizing Ltd. is a company based in San Ignacio, Cayo. We offer a diverse product portfolio that includes Belizing.com, Belizing Payments, and Belize Digital Media, all of which contribute significant technology solutions and technical expertise to the tourism industry of Belize. Together with the IDB Lab, we are now working on a project called the Belizing Tourism Innovation Lab. The primary goal of this project is to transform training and encourage the adaptation of digital strategies among tourism businesses and their employees through collaboration and data sharing.

Submission of EOI by the applicant including the following documents:

Academic qualification and other relevant training or certifications;

Police Record (receipt acceptable in interim).

The applicant’s EOI will be vetted in order to proceed with the applicant for phase 2 of the recruitment process; phase two includes an online interview between recruiters of LetsGoBelizing Ltd. and the applicant.
