Departs from the airport in the afternoon after all passengers are onboard. The drive to Placencia is about 2.5 hours, along the newly completed Coastal Highway, with an optional bathroom break and convenience store stop. Shuttle typically departs by 2:30pm, but may be sooner or later depending on pre-booked passengers. All passengers must be pre-booked.

Excellent experience
Picked up at the ferry dock. Driver was waiting for us with a sign with our name. The van was cool and extremely comfortable. Nice ride to Placencia on the new highway. Glad we chose to be driven vs fly to enjoy the lovely countryside.

Van had A/C and wifi, and the driver was super friendly. Spotted him immediately outside of the airport waiting for me with a sign that had my name. During the drive, he talked about Belize and gave me some historical lessons. Stopped for snack and refreshments along the way. Highly recommend!

Excellent service
The communication and booking process before our trip was efficient. We were met on schedule at the airport. Our driver was friendly and polite and happy to answer our questions. We had a smooth ride to Placencia which allowed us to see a little of Belize.

Great experience
We had a very nice ride from the airport to Placencia. Our driver, Javier was polite and pleasant. He told us a lot about life in Belize. He offered to stop for restroom and/or snack breaks during the ~2 hour drive to our resort. The Mercedes shuttle bus was super comfortable. All in all a great way to start our vacation!

Professional and Enjoyable
Avram was very professional and friendly. He waited 3 hours for our late arrival (per mechanical plane trouble in Miami, which I was communicating to the Belize Ground Shuttle staff). We very much enjoyed our drive with Avram from BZE to Placencia, as he shared Belize insights and what a tapir is! And he drove us back in comfort to BZE at the end of our fantastic stay. My only request is that Belize ... more Ground Shuttle updates its website that the new standard route south is via Coastal Highway. We were looking forward to the inland route (via Belmopan and Hummingbird Highway) described on the site so that we would have an opportunity to see more of the countryside. Our delay aside (which would be an understandable reason to opt for the quicker route), the shorter route appears to be the new standard for most shuttle services, which would be helpful for travelers to know ahead of time (others may prefer it, and it was certainly a pretty ride).

Shuttle fron Belize dock to Palencia
Our young. Driver was at the dock lobby when we arrived. He had our name on a board so he was easily identified by us. Great shuttle trip He told us about different landmarks and sites along the way. He made a washroom stop for us. Most importantly we felt safe in the vehicle and with his driving and we were very comfortable in the well maintained van. He is a very good driver. Had a great trip. Our service was outstanding. Both to and from the airport to Placencia. Our driver Tom was excellent and avoided numerous crashes that could have been serious. He had a lot of information on Belize and gave it warmly and courteously. Thanks Tom. The booking website needs improvement. Please include a contact phone number. Excellent Service !
Raoul was friendly & helpful! Our flight was late and we were ready to be at our final destination when we arrived in Belize. He met us at the airport and even stopped at the grocery store for us so we could purchase some drinks and snacks. It was a long drive, it took almost 4 hours, but it was comfortable and he was helpful when we asked about the country. We will use Belize Ground Shuttle again.

Absolutely AMAZING!
We booked this shuttle in a last minute attempt to get from Belize Airport to Placencia. Me, being an anxious traveler, reach out to them via message system and they had speedy and helpful replies. Shuttle was waiting for us as soon as we landed, and we hit the road ASAP. The trip alone was absolutely breathtaking and we stopped at little restaurant for some local stew chicken and ice cold coke. The ... more driver (wish I remembered his name) started with an A. Answered all of our questions and let us sit up front with him, so we could soak up the scenery. A review can not articulate how amazing the view and experience was. Hope you enjoy your trip if you’re reading this. Sit back and relax.

Belize Int Airport to Placencia
We had a great experience. We were close to 2 hours late in arriving from Toronto yet your driver waited and was right outside the Belize Airport exit. The van was new and clean. Our driver was courteous. We recommend Belize Ground Shuttles for trips between the Belize Airport and your destination.
