Begin with an approximately 20–30 minute hike through the lush tropical rainforest, where your guide can introduce you to Belize’s fascinating flora, fauna, and the ancient Maya connection to these caves. After reaching the cave entrance, you’ll receive your safety briefing and get equipped with your life vest, helmet, headlamp, and kayak.

Then the real adventure begins! Paddle your way deep into the caves, following the gentle waters of the Caves Branch River. As your headlamp lights the darkness around you, discover breathtaking stalactites, stalagmites, towering limestone formations, hidden chambers, and the fascinating underground world once considered sacred by the ancient Maya. The kayaking portion can take approximately 1½–2½ hours depending on the route and conditions, giving you plenty of time to explore, take in the incredible surroundings, and enjoy the peaceful yet adventurous atmosphere of Belize’s underground world. Nohoch Che'en Caves

Cancellation Policy

We have carefully considered the best services we can provide to make your expedition/vacation a most memorable one.  It is with that in mind that we realize that there are always unforeseen accidents and incidents that might interfere with your plans, thus calling for amendments/changes.

We are hereby introducing our guidelines and requirements for the cancellation to be effective and successful on your behalf.

Tours and/or Transfers must be confirmed with a 50% deposit of grand total or payment in full

Confirmation of 50% deposit must be made at least 48 hours before time

Requests for cancellation must be made in writing or by direct call to our offices 24 hours in advance

Guests must acknowledge that the Central Bank requires a minimum of 3 working days to refund a direct foreign account after the request in writing from our company.

Nelson Maya Adventures will retain 15% of any and all deposit amounts for bank refund transactions.

No-shows are completely NON-REFUNDABLE

Failure to notify us of any late changes can result in NO REFUND

Deposits can be held for future Tours and /or Transfers for a 1 time period not exceeding 6 months
