The Corozal Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is located in northern Belize. Corozal Bay is a cove located in the significantly larger Chetumal Bay. The sanctuary is one of the nationally protected areas in Belize. It was established in 1998 under the National Park Systems Act of 1981, as part of Belize's strategies to increase the viability of the West Indian Manatee.
