This home is located in a small gated enclave of private homes and only about 50 yards to your beach area and swimming dock. There is a large swimming pool with comfortable loungers ... moreand a shady Palapa. Although this home is not directly beachfront, it is on a beach lot garden and less costly than the front home, a great value for just a few extra steps to the ocean. Tropical Garden entry. Throughout are modern island finishes, tiled floors, Belizian hardwood ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen, linens, washing machine, Flatscreen TV/DVD, wifi, air conditioning, and a large swimming pool with loungers. The home is built of thick reinforced concrete floors and walls and to American/Canadian standards. *The island breeze coming off of the ocean is refreshing on most every day. This is a quiet area, only a 5-minute bike ride to town, close to many wonderful restaurants, local groceries, and tiki cabana bars.
Abundant palm trees and floral foliage all around. The beach area is one of only a few on the island. Our small private enclave decided to build a swimming dock/platform for your morning/afternoon most enjoyable dip in the sea. You can sit at the end of the dock and watch the reef break just offshore. Tropical fish are a daily event. If you are traveling on your own boat, you may reserve a spot at your dock if staying in the enclave. The pool is 33'x15' wide with a Belizian hardwood wrap-around deck.
There are several chaise lounge chairs with cushions to sit by the pool and relax to recharge your batteries for your next adventure. The pool is shared with our 2 homes. We have Paddleboards, Sea kayaks, and canoes for rent. We also rent island bicycles to travel and tour about the island...a wonderful adventure for most any age! We have children's bikes, child carriers, and cribs upon request.
Back in 2013, we started on the project that eventually became Laura's Lookout and Sandy's Secret. Sandy's Secret, a two bedroom apartment, is located on the first floor of the house; ... moreLaura's Lookout occupies the floors above. Sandy's, however, has its own separate entrance from the front of the house; Laura's is accessed by an entrance around the back, done purposely so that each house would retain it's individuality and privacy.
In addition, Sandy's was built using sound insulation in reinforced concrete, minimizing any noise from outside or above. We have a 24 hour security guard on site and during the day, our office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm and Michael our manager lives onsite, so someone is always on hand to help with your needs.
The apartment is light and airy, with incredible, impressive views of the beach, dock, sea and the reef beyond. It offers easy access to the Beach Road, which will take you right into the center of town by either a 5-10 minute bike ride, or a 10- 15 minute walk, but the location remains quiet and secluded; a bit of the Caye Caulker of old!!! Completed by Mennonite craftsman, the workmanship is exceptional. Like Laura's above, it includes hand crafted wood floors and furniture that evoke the hardwood forests Belize is known for.
The floor plan includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds that can be made into a King upon request. For convenience, depending on the group, mattresses are available for those who would rather not share a bed. All linens are 400 thread count; the full bathroom is always stocked with thick, plentiful towels and beach towels. Air conditioning is available as needed in all rooms and with individual preference in mind, each unit has a separate remote control. The kitchen is roomy and modern, stocked with whatever appliance you should need. The living area, which commands awesome views of the sea, has a flat screen TV, games, wi-fi and a movie library. A few steps from the front door are all that is needed to bring you to our man made beach, jutting 50 feet into the sea. It converts into a volleyball court, but it also provides an area in which to relax and enjoy the sun. Immediately beyond the beach area is our recently renovated 300 foot dock.
With three separate entrances to the water below, there is room to dock your boat (if you have one!!), 6 pods extending outward for more room and a palapa at the end of the dock if you require shade. Covered with chaise lounges, you would be hard pressed to find a better place on Caye Caulker to just sit and relax, or watch the incredible sunsets. If you prefer your water fresh, Sandy's also has a 35 x 15 foot pool, available only to guests, complete with rafts, sunken into a wood deck that respects the palm trees that were there before and many chaises for sunbathing. Bikes are available on site for US$5.00 per bike, per day.

The home's second level is approx. 1300 sq ft and has 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchen, and living room. Each level has a washer and dryer, as well as veranda overlooking the beautiful Caribbean and world's second-largest barrier reef!
The 1300 sq ft. rooftop deck is a major bonus with this home. It's a nice spot to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean views and cool ocean breezes.It's the perfect place for late afternoon cocktails with an AMAZING 360 degree view; you'll enjoy the best of both worlds with sunrises over the second-largest barrier reef AND sunsets over the lagoon! Snuggled in the village central, but hidden in the trees for your own island getaway. An enormous king bed with air-conditioned bedroom opens up to large living area and shared kitchen ... morespace. Decks on three sides and the ocean steps away to the east (100ft) and a pool for your use. It's a true gem!
13ft up in the trees this house is designed with Belize in mind - endless mahogany louver windows allows for maximum breeze and stone floors and wood walls keep it cool. Small but very comfortable with sofa and chair for lounging inside but most people live on the deck in hammocks and chairs.
Full and generous kitchen for home cooking but so close to everything most folks just use the fridge and coffee maker! The owner built this home for herself and husband but recently moved a little closer to the beach, so is close by if you need anything. You don't have to share the property with anyone.
