For people that love to hike, love a good view, and enjoy a nice dip at the foot of a waterfall, this may just be the adventure for you. This hike takes approximately 1.5 hours to get to the waterfall. You would need to endure steep hills/steps and about 1 hour into the hike, there is a viewing point that puts you above the canopy and allows a perfect view of the tallest peak in Belize (Victoria Peak). After enjoying that breath-taking view, the hike resumes, heading along the hills towards the waterfalls. Once at the bottom and the waterfall is visible, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment. The hike is still not over, as a short walk going over the first waterfall brings you to the second and larger waterfall. Now you can relax, swim, reminisce and bask in the beauty and peaceful nature of the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Reserve.
