There may be biting insects at the docks but they are not an issue on the tour. Bring insect repellent or long pants if insects are of concern.
Yes! The Sittee River is home to Morelet crocodiles. These crocodiles are smaller and more docile than the American Saltwater crocodile. They are a treat to see in the river and pose no threat to visitors. In fact it is difficult to get close enough to get a good photo before they shyly dart away.
Absolutely! We have life jackets on board as well as all the legally required safety equipment and this tour is mostly a slow speed cruise along the river to enjoy the peace and tranquility. Our guides are fully trained in first aid, CPR and water rescue and safety is our first priority.
