The zoo is a sanctuary and safe haven to many permanently injured animals that are rescued. The total animal population of the zoo is above 200 animals, however, for exhibit, you'll get to see 5 jaguars and approximately 35 other species of native animals.

Such a Great Day at the Zoo
Percy was great at communicating. He arrived early to pick us up and we were the first people at the zoo. He took us on a very informative tour of the zoo and got us a Jaguar Encounter. He also gave us a great history of Belize City as we drove out of the city. We enjoyed our time at the Belize Zoo with him.
