Two stops are inside the reserve — Shark Ray Alley and a guided snorkel through the Hol Chan Channel led by your experienced tour guide. Outside the reserve, we’ll explore three more exciting sites: a manatee search, the colorful Coral Gardens, and the mysterious shipwreck site. Our final stop is a sightseeing experience — feeding the huge tarpons from the boat behind Caye Caulker!

If conditions allow, you’ll have the special opportunity to snorkel with a manatee, one of Belize’s most beloved marine creatures, at one of their known hotspots.

After exploring, enjoy a delicious local lunch, fresh fruit, and refreshing drinks on board. Capture your adventure with our complimentary GoPro photos and videos, and relax with rum punch as we cruise back to Caye Caulker.

All excursions are conducted on a 25-foot speedboat which has dry compartments for personal belongs, also equipped with life jackets for emergencies or can also be used for the snorkeling if needed, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and a canopy for sun protection.

After 25 minutes of jungle hike to the cave entry, your cave tubing adventure begins. Imagine the experience as you float down through 4 caves known in Belize as the second largest, with your lights ON, floating away into time as your professional guide shares with you the history of the caves and the Mayan world. 

Along the way, the famous crystal cave appears. It is now time to step out of your comfort zone, as you climb underground waterfalls. Explore the crystal cave chambers, and get ready for a swim or cliff jump into the waters. Back to your inner tubes, the cave floating continues to meet with a Giant tropical garden, where open river tubing brings us back to the end for a 3-minute walk to the parking lot.

In the cave, opportunities arise to see skeletal remains of 14 individuals, including and most famous CRYSTAL MAIDEN. Most skeletal remains sparkle as they have been covered in calcite crystals from being in that constant cave environment for over a thousand years. ATM cave was known for performing rituals to appease the rain god of Xibalba, the underworld.

Getting to ATM involves a 45-minute moderate jungle trail hike. While entering the cave, there is a river flowing out, so swimming for short distances and getting wet is part of this tour.

Exploring the Jaguar trail provides a unique experience and a chance to connect with nature and experience the wonders of the Belizean Rainforest. This is known as a home to wildlife including howler monkeys, spider monkeys, tapirs, numerous bird species and many cave systems in which we explore.

Day 1:

Trek through the jungles of Belize to Camp 1, as you learn about the flora and fauna.

Set camp (we use sleeping hammocks with mosquito net)

Set Jungle motion cameras on strategic locations to capture photographs of wildlife during night time

Night hike for nocturnal wildlife spotting (optional)

Day 2:

After breakfast, we will trek to the second camp, (creek side camp). Amidst this tropical paradise, tucked away in the heart of the jungle are 2 remarkable dry Caves that we will explore, where history, nature, and pure exhilaration intertwine. Brace yourself as we uncover the secrets of these ancient treasures and discover this new highlight of our Jaguar Trail jungle trek and caving expedition.
