Cancellation Notice from Classic Expeditions Belize:

In Belize, rainy periods come and go in various intensities (keep in mind, we are in the rain-forest!) Frequently and especially during the rainy season (June to November and extending many
times as late January) it is difficult to provide advance cancellation notice for water-based adventure tours. Many times there is simply no notice time at all. Rains are not always falling in our immediate area but further up into the hills and surrounding watershed. Rivers will start rising. We won't see the effect until hours later. It is not common for the weather and river to be perfect in the early mornings.

• For adventures that include water activity,

Even though the weather conditions might make the tour permissible, we might not find it advisable.
If we inform you that the weather condition prevents us from safely conducting your tour, Classic Expeditions company reserves the right to cancel the adventure. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of these water-based adventures with little or no notice. If the water level changes considerably and it is not safe to proceed, the tour will be cancelled.
Although Classic Expeditions does not provide refunds when weather is the deciding factor, we will always provide you with an alternative activity. We will offer to move the tour to another date or recommend an alternative activity for that day. We take the safety of our guests and our staff seriously. Thus, we will not begin any tour if we consider it to be a risk to your safety or the safety of our guides.
