Convenient and charming restaurant on Western Highway
Very conveniently located off the Western Highway. After leaving Belize City, we stopped for lunch on our way to San Ignacio. Big "Amigos" sign let's you know you have found it. Some cute to read little signs, scattered around. You'll either chuckle or be offended. We thought they were funny...You have a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. We chose the outdoor, which was quite comfortable and gave ... more us a view of the mountains. There is a clean, handy, place to wash your hands as you step up on the porch. Roomy nonpaved parking lot. Flush toilets separate from restaurant.We had the special of shrimp ceviche for an appetizer (yum) and I had the barbecue chicken with rice and beans. My granddaughter decided on the stewed beef with potato salad. We both loved the ceviche. I was happy with my meal, she thought hers was good but the potato salad sweeter than she prefers.Waitress was easygoing and handled the good sized crowd without acting stressed.You can get your meal to go if you have some hiking plans and want to eat somewhere picnic style.I would definitely use this convenient restaurant again.
