This combined city and rum experience is a wonderful way to get to know Belize, from its historic landmarks and colonial heritage to the local traditions behind some of the country’s best-known rums.

Begin your adventure with a guided tour through Belize City, visiting and viewing some of the city’s most important historic buildings and landmarks. One of the highlights is St. John’s Cathedral, one of Belize’s most significant historic churches, where you can appreciate its unique architecture and learn about its place in Belize’s history. Along the way, we’ll also make a stop at the colorful Belize Sign, giving you the perfect opportunity to take photographs and capture a special memory of your visit. Depending on the route and time available, you’ll see other notable areas and landmarks throughout the city while your guide shares stories about Belize’s past, culture, and everyday life.

After exploring the city, we continue to a local Belizean rum factory and heritage museum, where you’ll discover more about Belize’s rum-making tradition. Explore the small museum, learn about the history and heritage behind local rum production, and see some of the different rums produced in Belize.

Of course, no rum experience would be complete without a taste! Guests will have the opportunity to sample at least two local rums, including selections from the aged and newer varieties available at the time of your visit. It’s a great opportunity to discover Belizean flavors and perhaps find a new favorite to take home.

Cancellation Policy

We have carefully considered the best services we can provide to make your expedition/vacation a most memorable one.  It is with that in mind that we realize that there are always unforeseen accidents and incidents that might interfere with your plans thus calling for amendments/changes.


We are hereby introducing our guidelines and requirements for the cancellation to be effective and successful on your behalf.

Tour and/or Transfers must be confirmed on the 50% deposit of grand total or payment in full

Confirmation of 50% deposit must be made at least 48 hours before time

Request of cancellation must be made in writing or direct call to our offices 24 hours in advance

Guests must acknowledge that the Central Bank requires a minimum of 3 working days to refund a direct foreign account after the request in writing from our company.

Nelson Maya Adventures will retain 15% of any and all deposit amounts for bank refund transactions.

No-shows are completely NON-REFUNDABLE

Failure to notify us of any late changes can result in NO REFUND

Deposits can be held for future Tours and /or Transfers for a 1 time period not exceeding 6 months
