There are many great snorkeling spots along the barrier reef. Some of the more popular spots are Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Shark Ray Alley, Coral Gardens, Mexico Rocks, and the Great Blue Hole.
Snorkeling along the reef, you can see many species of wildlife. There is an abundance of fish of different sizes, shapes, and colors. There are also many species of coral creating a home for a variety of sea life. At Shark Ray Alley, you can swim with the nurse sharks and stingrays. At Hol Chan, you can see big groups of fish. At the Blue Hole, you can see many species of sharks. There is always something incredible to see while snorkeling.

First, we stop at Mexico Rocks, a coral patch between the reef and the shores of Ambergris Caye, where you begin a snorkeling experience you won't forget. Snorkeling here is mainly boasted by the magnificent boulder formations of Brain Corals, Elk Horns, and Great Star Corals that provide shelter for tropical fishes and critters. Some of them include spiny lobsters, yellowtail snappers, and stingrays. A cave looking like a path is also found here where you will find hundreds of baby snappers staring at you while you glide over them.

For this trip, we fish inshore of Ambergris Caye for snappers, barracudas, and other fish. This trip is similar to our half-day reef fishing but the only difference is that we fish ... morelonger. The maximum is 4 to 5 persons and the cost for this trip is $500.00 USD.

Once the food is served and everyone is happy, we close off the day with some snorkeling. Your adventure begins with a safety briefing from the first mate. Next, you will be secured in a life jacket and safety harness as you are instructed on how and when to move to the flight deck. After the chute is launched the first mate will attach the passenger bar to the chute and call you to the deck. You will stand as your harness is attached to the bar and then move forward and sit with your legs in front of you. And finally, …you’re flying! You will ascend slowly and smoothly as the captain guides you over the beautiful turquoise waters inside the barrier reef. Our certified crew has been trained by US experts to meet all US safety standards.
Sit back and relax, you will have approximately 12-15 minutes to enjoy the sights of San Pedro, the reef, and the surrounding beauty of Ambergris Caye. Take a selfie, make a video–you decide, it’s your adventure.
As you return to the boat you will receive instructions from the first mate. He will ask you to reach up and grab the bar above your head and extend your legs into a standing position. Following his directions will ensure you nail your landing.
