Let us take you on a journey back to the age of the pre-Columbians, an age when these Mesoamerican regions were once tamed by the Mayans. Among these regions, on the native ridges ... moreof Belize, you can embark on an exploration of Mayan Ruins and cave systems on one single tour.

Just about 80 miles west of Belize City, endures Xunantunich, an Ancient Maya archaeological site that majestically stands at the summit of a mountain giving a dominant view of the entire site and region.

The Mayans made use of the land and its terrains, as they did so above the surface they also did so below the surface. The Mayans believed that the caves were an entrance to Xibalba “a place of fear” related to death. It is completely so because the Mayans used the caves to perform death rituals and also the river flowing through these caves provided a secret passageway to ambush enemies.

This brings us to your next stop of the trip, Cave Tubing into a cave system at Caves Branch. Inside the caves, you will encounter remains of ancient artifacts, tools, and also secret chambers.

The tour offers a complimentary hour & 30 minutes Water Taxi transfer to Belize City in which you will journey along Caye Caulker, Caye Chapel, and mangroves and enjoy a glimpse of St. George’s Caye before arriving at the commercial City of Belize where you will meet your tour guide. From there you board on a private vehicle with your guide as you begin your road trip on the George Price Highway to Xunantunich. You will get enough time to explore the entire courtyard, and the Temples and also visit the on-site museum and gift shop before it is time to head back on the highway to Caves Branch. Caves Branch is renowned for its impressive Cave Tubing adventures and also its thrilling zip line.

Truly Spectaular
A group of 6 of us had a wonderful time in Nov of this year. We saw everything from iguanas to howler monkeys before we even got to the ruins. Javier and our river guides were filled with knowledge and facts about Belize, it's history, and it's creatures. There wasn't a moment wasted from start to finish, nor was there ever a lack of something stunning to look at or listen to. We would highly recommend ... more this tour to anyone looking to spend time in Belize. and cannot rate this tour high enough.

Great day on the water!
Martin, our captain/tour guide, was awesome! He took his time with us at all of the "stops" on the trip. We did not see any Manatee on our way in to Caye Caulker- he looked in three places. But after our lunch and visit there, he went again, and we found three! Such special animals. You can tell he takes pride in guest experience. We loved snorkeling and feeding the tarpon the most- so fun! Refreshments ... more were a nice and unexpected touch- we loved having fresh fruit on the boat and some tasty rum punch for the ride back to San Pedro.

WOW!
What a great tour! I saw monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas, and all kinds of birds and flowers. The guides were so knowledgeable. Javier is a Marine Biologist! They made everything so fascinating. I climbed the temples and saw amazing views. But the best part was the boat ride. What a rush! So fast! I'll be talking about this tour for years to come. And boy, did I get great photos. Some are going right ... more on my screensaver.

Great experience & customer service!
We had a great experience! All staff was extremely friendly and the entire trip was very well coordinated--we didn't wait anywhere (no wasted time) and we didn't have think about anything because they had thought of everything! They even adjusted the sequence of events due to weather to ensure we were able to experience both adventures. The adventures were really cool & fun!
