Description
This tour is a private, custom experience that starts at 8 am from our docks on the Sittee River and returns at 3/3:30 pm. We work with our guests to create an itinerary that is of interest to them. Activities that can be done on this charter include but are not limited to the following:
Reef snorkel
Mangrove snorkel
Reef or river fishing (trolling, traditional handline, spearfishing for lionfish, diving for lobster or conch (seasonal)

Happy Go Luckie Tours specializes in custom, private marine charters. If you book a charter with us it is your PRIVATE charter and it is our policy not to add anyone to a private charter on your behalf but you are more than welcome to invite others if you want to share the cost with someone you meet or are travelling with. Please just notify us if you do invite others so we can be sure to have the equipment/and refreshments/food to accommodate them.
The travel time to the barrier reef is approximately 40 minutes one way.
You will be picked up at your place of stay 15-20 minutes before tour departure.
Our charters are absolutely family friendly. Because of the flexible, customized nature of our trips it is ideal for families with small children and even babies as well as the elderly or people with physical disabilities. Please let us know if you have special needs when booking so we can provide the best experience possible. We have infant life jackets and you plan your tour with your guide so that you will get the most enjoyment out of your day and the plan can change at anytime if your needs change during the day. We have access to private islands and shallow swimming areas so its possible to use an island as a “base” while you do excursions from there and there is bathrooms and shaded areas available. Because you are not on a set tour with people you don’t know, you don’t have to worry about changing the plan as you go.
Absolutely! Our guides are trained to provide a thorough snorkel briefing and will start with a lesson near a shallow sand bar or island if needed. We have horse collar style life jackets which are great for people who are new to snorkelling or are not strong swimmers as they can be worn around the waist to keep you afloat while you able to put your face in the water. We have had people who never intended to snorkel on our boat due to fear of the water or a traumatic experience, get in and with careful guidance they learned to love their snorkel experience. We don’t pressure anyone to do something they don’t want to do but we do try to encourage people to try and with patience and care we help people to face their fears and experience our amazing reef.
Yes our boats have bimini tops for shade.

Bucket list Experience!
If you're visiting Hopkins, this full day charter is a MUST. Two years ago we did the half day charter, and we couldn't wait to get back to do the full day charter. This time we brought along our kids, including my 1-year old. This is perfect for kids because it's a private charter and so there's no rushing and we can choose what to do on our own timing. As always, the crew at HGL was friendly, patient, ... more and professional. On our charter we had Beru and Bas, two of the best captain-guide team in the business. They were very professional and so good with the kids. On our charter we opted for some snorkeling, fishing, and island hopping. We visited Bread and Butter Caye for lunch, passed by South Water Caye, and stopped at Tobacco Caye. The highlight was getting to fish and eat our catch on a private island. You can't get any fresher seafood than that! I initially thought the full day would be too much for the baby but it goes by so fast...too fast when you're having so much fun. It was the first time snorkeling for the kids and they absolutely had a blast. We did two snorkeling stops and the sights were so amazing. My 10-year old was hesistant at first but Bas was so patient with him, helping him with the gear and showing him what to do. Before we knew it he was a pro and we couldn't get him out the water! We also did some traditional line fishing. It was so much fun, we could have spent all day fishing. When we were done, we went to Bread and Butter Caye where the guys filled the fish and we had steamed and friend fish with rice and beans and the best pasta salad I've ever had. We at al the fish and were all stuffed, but the day was only half done. What I love about t his is that we get to do what WE want to do. So after lunch we did some more snorkeling by the barrier reef and then we stopped at Tobacco Caye, an island that we've always wanted to visit. It's a really cool spot to visit right on the reef. We will remember this trip for the rest of our lives. Book this trip and you will create some of the best memories with your family....I guarantee it. Wonderful Day!
Tyler and Medz did their best to make us all happy. We caught fish, swam had a good lunch of our fish. Very good day!
