Glover’s ... moreReef is 35 miles off shore and the boat ride is typically 1.5-2 hours. It is located approximately 14 miles outside the barrier reef which is about 1 hour ride once you leave the barrier reef. The Glover’s Reef Marine Reserve was established in 1996 and boasts the greatest diversity of reef types and richest variety of marine life in the Caribbean. Glover’s is the most developed atoll with over 700 patch reefs. Snorkelling Glover's reef is very spectacular and worth the somewhat long journey to get there. Fishing at Glover's is also possible. Licenses and added fuel surcharge are required for fishing.

Set out after dark to explore the beautiful and peaceful Sittee River under a sky full of stars. Belize has many nocturnal creatures that come out after dark to the riverside to eat ... moreand drink from the river. Use high-powered flashlights to spot the eyeshine of crocodiles, kinkajou, coatimundi, raccoons, birds, resting iguanas, and much more!

The second half of this tour involves cruising through a hand-cut path from the river into the mangroves where you can spot resting bats on the sides of the trees and then out into Anderson's Lagoon which boasts bioluminescent plankton that lights up with any disturbance in the water. It is magical to see fish darting away from predators and the boat as you cruise along. The water also glows behind the boat as the prop wash activates the chemical reaction which causes the plankton to light up. This is so interesting and intriguing to visitors that a swim in these waters is almost irresistible so wear your swimwear and bring along a towel. Also, you may want to wear long pants and sleeves or bring a can of insect repellent before and after the tour as there may be biting insects at the dock.

This tour is seasonal and affected by rainfall and the moonlight so we only schedule during optimal viewing times. We want to offer the highest quality experience at great value.

The best guide experience I have ever had!
Had two amazing spearfishing trips with Lucky and his team during my stay in Hopkins. One was an evening trip, and the other was morning. They were able to give me many opportunities during each one! Everyone at the guide services were the most friendly and helpful people you could hope to meet for vacation adventures. This was my first spearfishing experience, and because of Lucky and his team i ... more have falling in love with the activity. They were able, and more than willing, to give me tips on techniques to allow me to be successful. The reef itself is amazing, and going spearing on it with this group made this the highlight of my trip! 10-star recommendation from me! Book before he becomes famous!

Great time in the river 😎
We really enjoyed the biolumenise tour. We saw alot of wildlife including owls, iguanas and alligators along the river before we went to the main event in Andersons lagoon. The biolumenise was amazing and the stars above added to the experience. Luckie was very knowledgeable and share many interesting facts. I recommend this trip as a must do in Belize

Such great people!
Loved everything about Happy Go Luckie Tours. We were in Belize for my Dads 70th birthday with 8 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 infants. Cheryl was incredibly responsive and patient at booking a last full day snorkeling trip: adjusting the numbers many times due to last minute interest and even more last minute illnesses and answering a ton of questions about the babies ability to go on the boat. The actual ... more excursion was incredible. The whole crew (Luckie, Beans, & Beru) were fun and knowledgeable. They found us the best snorkeling spots and pointing out wildlife along the way. They were fantastic babysitters while the adults went snorkeling. The hangout and lunch spot at Bread & Butter Caye was breathtaking and delicious. We hope to be back to Belize and if we get back will be booking again with HGL! Thank you for making our trip incredible and memorable!

Very Professional
I love HGL tours because they're so friendly and professional. We've done the bioluminescence tour, the half day charter, and the full day charter with them. Always an excellent experience with them. They're very informative and accomodating especially with kids. I can't recommend them enough. Book with them for your next trip to Hopkins.

Bucket list Experience!
If you're visiting Hopkins, this full day charter is a MUST. Two years ago we did the half day charter, and we couldn't wait to get back to do the full day charter. This time we brought along our kids, including my 1-year old. This is perfect for kids because it's a private charter and so there's no rushing and we can choose what to do on our own timing. As always, the crew at HGL was friendly, patient, ... more and professional. On our charter we had Beru and Bas, two of the best captain-guide team in the business. They were very professional and so good with the kids. On our charter we opted for some snorkeling, fishing, and island hopping. We visited Bread and Butter Caye for lunch, passed by South Water Caye, and stopped at Tobacco Caye. The highlight was getting to fish and eat our catch on a private island. You can't get any fresher seafood than that! I initially thought the full day would be too much for the baby but it goes by so fast...too fast when you're having so much fun. It was the first time snorkeling for the kids and they absolutely had a blast. We did two snorkeling stops and the sights were so amazing. My 10-year old was hesistant at first but Bas was so patient with him, helping him with the gear and showing him what to do. Before we knew it he was a pro and we couldn't get him out the water! We also did some traditional line fishing. It was so much fun, we could have spent all day fishing. When we were done, we went to Bread and Butter Caye where the guys filled the fish and we had steamed and friend fish with rice and beans and the best pasta salad I've ever had. We at al the fish and were all stuffed, but the day was only half done. What I love about t his is that we get to do what WE want to do. So after lunch we did some more snorkeling by the barrier reef and then we stopped at Tobacco Caye, an island that we've always wanted to visit. It's a really cool spot to visit right on the reef. We will remember this trip for the rest of our lives. Book this trip and you will create some of the best memories with your family....I guarantee it. Magical
I took my kids on this tour, ages 15, 10, 6. The kids absolutely love it. We were one the first tour for March and it was spectacular. Luckie himself was our guide and he was very professional and informative. The boat was very comfortable with cushions on the seats. We departed at 6:30pm and we were back by 8pm. He gave us a safety briefing as we departed, then handed us all some very nice flashlights ... more for the river safari part of the tour. We spotted crocodiles, birds, spiders, and other nocturnal wildlife along the sittee river. Luckie is very knowledgeable about the environment and wildlife and explains everything in detail. The highlight of the tour was the bioluminescence lagoon. It's like nothing you've ever seen. I took my kids with me and they were absolutely mesmerized. My older son jumped in the water and swam around. As the boat sped along you could see the fishes darting by like shooting stars in the water. We ended the night with Luckie giving us a star gazing lesson on how to identify constellations and use the stars for directions. The thing I appreciated most about Luckie is that he is well informed and provides thorough explanations of what you're seeing....everything from why the mangrove trees have dead leaves, the types of crocodiles, how to identify different species of birds, how exactly the bioluminescence occurs, and even an astronomy lesson. It's such an amazing tour and a MUST do if you're in the Hopkins area. Book this tour NOW, you won't regret it!

Bioluminescent Lagoon
We truly enjoyed this. Luckie is very knowledgeable, has great eyes for spotting the animals. Anderson Lagoon and the bioluminescent was excellent. Fairly priced, money well spend.
