Your driver will take you to a local stable where you will gear up and mount your horse and depart on a 1-hour ride to Xunantunich along the banks of the Mopan River, in the village of San Jose Succotz. Here you will cross the river on an ancient handcrafted ferry and then ride your horse up to Xunantunich. When you arrive prepare to dismount and let your horse as you explore the temples and plazas on foot.
Climb the impressive 130 feet tall temple ‘El Castillo’ and discover the breathtaking panoramic view of the Belizean and Guatemalan landscape. Xunantunich is also known for its ceremonial center, ball court, residential and recreational area, and the reconstructed frieze on the east and west side of the temple."
