This is an unbelievably idyllic hideaway on the beautiful island of Southwater Caye. The island is only 15 acres in size and Pelican's Pouch occupies 3.5 acres at the southern, sandy tip. Suited to the traveller looking for a very natural experience, with the barrier reef visible from one side of the island and Victoria Peak in view from the other, you are surrounded by palm trees, pelicans and frigate birds.
Getting There 30 to 45 minute boat ride from Dangriga on the southern coast.
Rooms are in 8 individual cottages or duplexes hidden amongst the palm trees, each having unique characteristics designed to enhance your enjoyment of the surrounding environment, such as situated over the water or with a stargazing platform. Rooms have queen size bed and single or double, ceiling fans and porches. Four further rooms are located on the first floor of the main building.
Dining is single menu option and occurs on the large open air deck. Meals include tropical fruits, fresh seafood, salads and local dishes. There is a fully stocked bar also.
