We then proceed along the Marine Parade and provide historical information on key locations such as Chateau Caribbean Hotel, Memorial Park, Central Bank of Belize, MCC Grounds, BTL Park (formerly known as Lindbergh Landing), Marion Jones Sporting Complex, Central Bank, Old Belize City Prison among many other buildings.
After seeing Northside Belize City, we will travel up the George Price Highway approximately 40 minutes out of the City whilst learning a little about who George Price was and what he has done for our country.
Along the highway, guests will be able to see some small communities and some flora and fauna along the highways as well as some wetlands. You will then arrive at the Belize Zoo where your tour guide will allow you some time to use the restroom before you start the tour for about an hour.
At the Belize Zoo, you will be able to see some native animals to Belize as well as some troublesome animals such as Jaguars and Crocodiles that were harming the livestock of our farmers. Some were donated to the Belize Zoo because they were illegal to have as a pet, and others were rescued from the wild.

The center is composed of six major plazas surrounded by more than 25 temples and palaces. The site is a late classic period 600 AD to 900 AD which also was the borderline influence of El Naranjo- a large ceremonial site over in Guatemala. The large pyramid, “El Castillo”, is well known for the frieze or band of stucco decoration which at one time extended around the entire temple. El Castillo rises l30 feet above the main plaza; is the second tallest structure in Belize and offers an impressive panoramic view of the Mopan River valley, the border town of Benque Viejo (Belize), and neighboring Melchor de Mencos (Guatemala). Just being here and appreciating this view makes it totally worth the effort!

Six miles north of San Pedro Town in North Ambergris Caye, you will find one of the most beautiful snorkel sites known as Mexico Rocks & Tres Cocos. Unlike many of the snorkeling ... morespots in Belize that are right on the barrier reef, Mexico Rocks & Tres Cocos is a star coral patch that is located in the shallow waters midway between the great barrier reef and the island of Ambergris Caye.
Mexico Rocks are known for many conches, banded shrimps, arrow crabs, grunts, yellowtail snappers, and an assortment of Butterfly and Angelfish. Tres Cocos is named after three tall coconut trees on shore used to locate the site. The reef here gets as shallow as four feet. Here you will find the most beautiful corals, colorful species of both large and small fishes, shrimp, parrotfish, fairy basslet, sea urchins, spider crabs, lobster, and many other small critters of the sea. You will also see magnificent elk horns, sea whips, and sea rods that make good protection for juvenile fishes. The highlights of this trip are the mountains of brain coral, which grow up to 20 feet. On the sandy seabed, you might even see stingrays, eagle rays, and peacock flounder. The nurse shark is a common site as well.
Mexico Rocks & Tres Cocos is protected from ocean swells and currents, so it makes for easier snorkeling, perfect for beginners. Depth is only about 6 to 12 feet, so you can see everything up close. Water visibility in this area of the crystal clear Caribbean Sea is about 50 feet or more.
