Your friendly Tour Guide will meet guests at Fort Street Tourism Village in Belize City and then will commence the tour by welcoming them to beautiful sunny Belize. He will then make ... morehis way through Belize City while giving them some brief history about Belize. He will then proceed on the George Price Highway which is a 40-minute drive out of the City and inform them about who George Price was and what he has done for our country.

Along the highway, guests will be able to see some small communities and some flora and fauna along the highways as well as some wetlands. You will then arrive at the Belize Zoo where your tour guide will allow you some time to use the restroom before you start the tour for about an hour.

At the Belize Zoo, you will be able to see some native animals to Belize as well as some troublesome animals such as Jaguars and Crocodiles that were harming the livestock of our farmers. Some were donated to the Belize Zoo because they were illegal to have as pets, and others were rescued from the wild. From there you will continue on your way to Jaguar Paw where you will enjoy both the Rain Forest and the Underworld of the Mayas as you hike for about 30 minutes through the Rain Forest and your guide will point out different medicinal plants and their benefits that were once used by the Mayas and locals today.

After your 30-minute hike, you will then sit in an inner tube and enjoy the refreshing cold river water that will carry you through the cave system. Your Guide will do all the work for you while he entertains and guides you through the cave system for about 2 hours. After your tour is finished you will then have lunch and make your way back to Belize City where you will be taken back to the Fort Street Tourism Village.

Then take the exit on the Phillip Goldson Highway heading in the Belize District about 30 miles north of Belize City on the Old Northern Highway and about 6 miles west of the shore of the Caribbean Sea.

Altun Ha was a wealthy ceremonial center boasting two main plazas, and thirteen structures (including the Temple of Sun God or the Temple of the Masonry Altars). Altun Ha is not very far from the Caribbean Sea and it formed part of a unique cultural zone along with other coastal sites.

It is also where the Largest Jade was ever found in the Mayan Kingdom. During an excavation, Dr. David Pendergast, along with Mr. Wilhelm Leslie of Rockstone Pond, and another Belizean (Mr. Winston Herbert of Lucky Strike Village), discovered the famous jade sculpture of Kinich Ahau, in 1968.

After visiting Altun Ha we head back towards Belize City where your Tour Guide will take you along the South side of Belize City where guests will be able to view life on the south side of the city and then will make a short stop at one of the oldest church in Central America, St. John’s Cathedral built in 1812, then will proceed back to the Fort Street Tourism Village.

Xunantunich is an Ancient Mayan archaeological site in western Belize, about 80 miles (130 km) west of Belize City, in the Cayo District, or about 8 miles west of San Ignacio Town in the Cayo District.

Xunantunich is located atop a ridge above the Mopan River, well within sight of Guatemala. It served as a Maya civic ceremonial center in the Late and Terminal Classic periods in the Belize Valley region. At this time, when the region was at its’ peak, nearly 200,000 people lived in Belize.

Xunantunich’s name means “Stone Woman” which is a combination of Mopan and Yucatec Maya, and, like many names given to Maya archaeological sites, is a modern name; the ancient name is currently unknown. The “Stone Woman” refers to the ghost of a woman claimed by several people to inhabit the site, beginning in 1892. She is dressed completely in white and has fire-red glowing eyes. She generally appears in front of “El Castillo”, ascends the stone stairs, and disappears into a stone wall.

After visiting Xunantunich you will have some time to purchase lunch at a Local restaurant before heading back to Belize City where you will be given a short tour on the Southside of Belize City before being dropped off at your destination.

Belize Zoo and Cave Tubing
Such a great experience. We had great communication beforehand about what to bring-- and were picked up right on time. Our guide Tarik was so knowledgeable. He stopped to buy us local snacks-- and told us so much history of the area on the drive. When we were at the zoo-- he knew so much about each animal and was great at timing it so we got to see the feedings. The cave tubing was really beautiful-- ... more and Tarik again was super knowledgeable about the history and geology. We had a wonderful day.

Altun Ha Mayan Ruin Tour
What a great tour of the city and a comfy, air conditioned ride to the Mayan Ruins. Our guide was filled with history and information and even brought us a traditional snack of Belize for the ride. We climbed several pyramids and took amazing photos from the top view. It was a great family experience. Next time we will bring more bug spray, so we can visit the ruins even longer :) Thank you!

Fantastic!!!
This was by far one of the best experiences ever. Omar was great and quick to book the trip for me and get back on messages. Or tour guide Carlos was amazing!!! I'm not a strong swimmer and was very nervous about snorkeling. He made it such a great experience for me as well as for my husband. Five stars is not even a high enough rating!

Great tour
Carlos is a wonderful tour guide, and responsive to everyone's needs. (In our case, my aching knees.) We had lunch at the zoo, saw most of the animals (some hid away in the heat), and enjoyed an unforgettable experience. He will answer any question you come up with about his country, we learned a lot and had a great time. I'd contact him again if I return to Belize.
