Your guide will tell you more ... moreabout this site, which is believed to have been first settled around 1200 BC. From the structures of the site, you can see that its inhabitants were rather sophisticated people. They built circular platforms used for ceremonial purposes, housing structures that resemble modern houses, and a ball court, which are all in amazing condition after thousands of years. Come explore these ruins and let your guide tell you more about the people who lived at Cahal Pech created art and traded and communicated with their neighbors in the nearby cities of Xunantunich, El Pilar, and others.
