Description
Mexico Rocks is a relatively young marine reserve in Belize. It is an extensive patch of reef complex that is located north of Ambergris Caye in Belize. The reef patch at Mexico Rocks is virtually monospecific, composed of 83% montastrea annwaris, the major reef framework builder, and no lateral biotic zonation caused by different wave energy. This tour is combined with Tres Cocos, which is another popular snorkeling site in Belize. The best part? Both of these locations can be experienced in a half day.

So glad we did it. We booked through Belizing. If you do the same, make sure a day or two in advance. The confirmation came late and we had already gone to sleep, so we missed our morning slot. I rescheduled online with Tuff and it was approved. Excellent customer service. Jamille was our guide. He was fantastic. He got in the water with us and pointed out some incredible wildlife. We felt safe and ... more well taken care of. The experience was stunning, we had the best time.

Very beautiful and memorable first snorkeling in the Mexico Rocks with our guide well explaining the varied marine life. The tour was sold as including also Tres Cocos but we got only a second less interesting and short snorkeling in the same area for a total time of 2 hours (not 3 as advertised)
