In this episode, we will provide a summary of the information you need before you visit and what to expect while you are in Belize. Not all hotels will be open to international guests in the first phase of reopening. When a list of approved hotels is released by the Belize tourism board, we will post the list here along with all the details on how to book with these hotels. Keep checking our COVID-19 resource page for all the new official updates. This episode is sponsored by Sirenian Bay Resort & Villas, Belize's newest All-Inclusive resort.

The hotels that are allowed to open must first certify for the new Belize Gold Standard certification program.
Jim Scott and Hospitality Training Services Belize were instrumental in developing these new standards for Belize. Jim is the owner of The 501Hub Restaurant in Belize City.

Jim discusses why these standards are necessary, what exactly you will expect at your hotel and restaurant in Belize, and why it's so worth it to come to Belize. With Belize having such low population density and being just a short flight away from most major US cities, the destination is well poised for post-Covid-19 travel, according to the Belize Tourism Board.
