Cahal Pech, which means “Place of the Ticks”, in the Mayan language, sits atop a steep hill that overlooks the twin towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena. Pacbitun is a lesser-known Mayan site located near San Antonio Village in the Cayo District, Belize. The name means “Stone Set in Earth”. This site is unique because it was recently discovered that during the Late Classic period, the Mayan people had a slate workshop, which is attached to one of the royal court's zones on the complex. El Pilar is a Mayan Ruin located about 7 miles from Bullet Tree Falls village in Cayo, Belize. Your expert guide will take you to this site, which is surrounded by an abundance of ... morewater sources (“pila” means “water basin” in Spanish). This site is still being excavated, and most structures are in the early stages of excavation. An interesting feature of this site is a causeway that runs along the eastern edge of the site all the way across the border of the country into Guatemala. So far, 12 pyramids and 25 plazas have been discovered at El Pilar. It is believed to have been inhabited from 500 BC to 1000 AD. There are a variety of different residential structures at the sight, including an elite household, and also ceremonial

Traverse the jungle on an off-road ATV, zip line along the canopy of the Rainforest, and float through the Maya underworld.
After the adrenaline rush of the zip line and jungle ATVs, we wash the mud off our clothes and take a 15-minute ride to the “No’hoch Che’en” national park. Here you will be fitted with a helmet, a headlight, a life jacket, and an appropriate flotation tube. It is a 30 – 45 minute hike to the entrance of the caves. Once we reach the entrance you will board your floating tube and be navigated through the underworld by one of our experienced guides.
In the caves, you will see eagles, turtles, mammoths, sharks, jellyfish, Indiana Jones, and even Darth Vader. Once we exit the caves you will continue down the lazy river for another 15 minutes right back to the starting point of the tour.
Once we are back to the land of the living you will enjoy a delicious meal before we take the ride back to your drop-off point. Along the way, we will share experiences, highlights, a local rum cocktail, or just take advantage of the free time with a siesta. Most guests prefer the siesta.

-the first activity is the zip lining so the best attire to start with is comfortable walking shoes and comfortable athletic clothes.

Actun Tunichil Muknal (the Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre), also known locally as ATM, is a cave in Belize, near San Ignacio, Cayo District, notable as a Maya archaeological site that ... moreincludes skeletons, ceramics, and stoneware. There are several areas of skeletal remains in the main chamber. The best-known is “The Crystal Maiden”, the skeleton of an adolescent (now thought to be a teenage boy), possibly a sacrifice victim, whose bones have been calcified to a sparkling, crystallized appearance. The ceramics at the site are significant partly because they are marked with “kill holes”, which indicate that they were used for ceremonial purposes. Many of the Maya artifacts and remains are completely calcified to the cave floor. One artifact, named the “Monkey Pot”, is one of just four of its type found in Central America. The Maya also modified cave formations here, in some instances to create altars for the offerings, in others to create silhouettes of faces and animals or to project a shadow image into the cave. The cave is extensively decorated with cave formations in the upper passages.

Xunantunich is very well-kept and offers many opportunities for amazing selfies and group photos. The views from atop the castle are stupendous and go on for miles. Its wide-open spaces have provided a lovely backdrop for proposals and weddings and have served as a location for a few films and telenovelas. The temples are nestled in between lush rainforests whose trees may bloom vibrant red, yellow, orange, or pink in season. Caracol is the largest Maya archaeological site in Belize. In AD 650, the urban area of Caracol had a radius of approximately 10 kilometers around the center of the site.
