Columbia Forest Reserve is one of the largest protected areas of rainforest in Central America. The reserve is located in the Cayo District of Belize, just north of San Jose Village. The reserve is known for its Karst terrain, which is made up of irregular limestone, sinkholes (some are 800 feet deep), fissures, underground streams, and caves.
With an elevation that varies from 1,000 to over 3,000 feet, which creates a diverse ecosystem. The reserve is home to a variety of plants and animals, including jaguars, scarlet macaws, keep-billed motmots, and many more.
