About Location
Uxbenka archaeological site is an early classic ceremonial site. It's name is translated as "ancient place." The size of Uxbenka is considerably small; however, there is much history to be uncovered in the area. Perched on a ridge on the top of the Maya Mountains, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the foothills and the valleys below. Uxbenka is known to be an ancient Maya ceremonial site with one ain plaza at the top of the hill and other smaller plazas built on terraces on the side of the hill.
