Cool M is an offbeat place to stay for a few days on a genuine Mennonite farm. The Lðhr family's 75-acre garden-filled dairy farm, on Cristo Rey Rd about a five-minute drive from San Ignacio, has two lovely fan-cooled cabañas – one double and one family with two double beds – each with modern bathrooms and a sun porch overlooking the valley. The welcoming family offers a light breakfast and can provide farm-fresh dinners, boxed lunches and even babysitting on request. Minimum two-night stay.
