Hopkins Mangu (Mango) Fest
In Garifuna, "mango" is known as "mangu." In the village of Hopkins, the soil of the area is rich in nutrients and allows local farmers to grow a variety ... moreof different mangos. Started in 2013, the Hopkins BTIA Chapter hosts the Hopkins Mangu Fest with the goal of promoting Hopkins Village as an attractive tourist destination that displays a unique and enjoyable cultural and culinary experience. In addition to this, the festival also contributes to an economic boost for local businesses in the area as the slow season, or "maga" season, is in effect.
The Hopkins Mangu Fest is an exciting, family-friendly, two-day event that celebrates everything mango, ranging from mango-inspired dishes, jams, and jellies, candies, and drinks. Usually, there are plenty of competitions and games at the different booths. Although this festival is surrounded by delicious mango fruits, the Garifuna culture is also greatly promoted through clothing, music, dance, and food.
2023 Hopkins Mango Festival
The 2023 Hopkins Mango Fest will be a fun festival for the entire family. There will be lots of musical performances, games, and prizes! The theme is, of course, mangoes, in which all stalls will feature mango in their food, drinks, and arts. Come out and celebrate!

San Pedro usually hosts a weeks-long ... moreevent that ranges from live concerts, block parties, food tastings, and other activities. The Lobster Fest in San Pedro is the largest celebration for Lobster Fest.
Usually, you are given a Lobster Crawl Passport that outlines the full schedule of events that will happen. Using this, you will collect stamps from each event and participate in a raffle to win prizes. The passport should be submitted at the block party happening at Barrier Reef Drive.
The San Pedro Lobster Fest is the first segment of the nationwide Lobster Festival that is held annually in Belize to open the lobster season. This year’s grand prize for this raffle is yet to be announced.

2025 Caye Caulker Lobster Fest
The events happening at the Caye Caulker Lobster Fest will be epic! On Friday, July 1-3, the opening ceremony starts at 7pm at the Palapa Gardens. It's on the beachfront going towards the split, you can't miss it. The "Waiting for Tonight" After Dance will feature some of the best DJs and entertainment such as DJ Khris, TLC Band and Evolution Sounds. On Tuesday, July 15, there will be a beach party at 11:00 a.m., a Powder Party, and a Glow Party at 9pm. For the last day of the entire 2025 Lobster Festival, the beach parties and excitement continues with much music, entertainment and family games, including a live performance by Supa G!

The Placencia Lobster Fest is scheduled from July 14-16 and is jam-packed with games, entertainment, live music, competitions, and lobster-themed dishes. Be sure not to miss favorites like Cast Net where players toss a fishing net to try and pull in a coin lying on the ground and Reel in the Dinghy where players must use a fishing rod to capture and then reel in dinghies floating offshore. There are also the popular Mr. and Mrs. Physique beauty contest, tug of war games, hot wings eating contests, kayak races, and tipsy tuna tosses.
