Full-Day Adventure
Our adventure begins as we depart from the SEAduced dock, located at the back of the Marina just down from the water taxi terminal. The departure is 9 AM. We begin ... moreby meandering through the lagoons and mangroves to a pristine sandbar. Once we set anchor it is time to explore! We have paddle boards, Kayaks, fishing gear, water floaties & a slide.
After you have had plenty of time to play we will serve lunch. Lunch is grilled chicken with peppers and onions, cilantro rice, black beans, tortillas, and a variety of sauces and toppings. We also start serving beer, rum punch, and signature mojitos with lunch. AT about 3 PM we lefty anchor and while we head back you can relax on the top deck and sip a cold drink or indulge in our homemade brownies & cookies.

BARTON CREEK is a living cave in that it is still growing and developing with 10ft of water flowing constantly throughout. The Mayan God Chaac (God of Water) was believed to occupy the cave, whenever the Mayas were going through a drought or needed a rain god for crops they would go into Barton Creek and sacrifice young virgins who were thought to be suitable gifts to the Gods. The Mayans believed the cave was an opening or gateway into the underworld and treated it with great fear and respect.

The first part of the adventure is swimming and wading through the awesome array of stalagmites and stalactites and other limestone feature before reaching the Stella Chamber and the Main Chamber. The Main Chamber is about one kilometer from the cave entrance. To enter these chambers, you need to remove your shoes but wear socks. Your guide will show you and explain the amazing number of valuable artifacts used in Mayan rites. These artifacts include the Skeletal Remains of 14 individuals, 150 ceramic pots, stingray spines and obsidian blades used for bloodletting, grinding stones, whistles and dried remains of corn and other plant remains. These remain in place just as they were when they were discovered about 25 years ago. At the far end of the Main Chamber, you will find the Chrystal Maiden, a young girl who was sacrificed as part of agricultural fertility rites.
