Day trip to Tikal from Belize Visit Tikal National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site Tour the ruins of Tikal with a professional and informative guide Learn about the Mayans who built one of the largest archaeological sites of the pre-Columbian world Round-trip hotel transport by comfortable coach included

What You Can Expect to Explore Tikal on a day trip from Belize!

Visit one of the largest and most important Mayan sites in all of Central America. Your professional guide will pick you up at your San Ignacio hotel for the roughly 1.5-hour drive to Tikal National Park.

You will be assisted in all border crossing procedures to enter Guatemala safely and hassle-free. Be sure to bring your passport!  After one hour we will stop at a souvenir shop where a part of our Tikal Go souvenirs you can see the best scale model of Tikal and a replica of the tomb found in temple 1 of the most important ruler of the city Jasaw Chan Kahuil.

Once inside the park, let your imagination run free as you explore highlights among more than 3,000 structures that archaeologists have excavated so far. Learn about the daily life and religious practices of the ancient Maya while wandering through the maze of the Central Acropolis, and envision the excitement of an elite sporting match on the ball courts.   Tikal boasts an array of magnificent ceremonial temples. Climb the wooden steps of Temple 2 and admire the astonishing view of the main square facing Temple 1 Grand Jaguar Temple the simple of Guatemala, was built to honor Jasaw Chan Kahuil more easily known as Lord Chocolate for the number of beans of cacao they found in the tomb. A set of twin pyramids with altars will greet you at complexes Q and R. Marvel at the Temple of the Masks, which was once adorned with intricate ceremonial mask carvings. Perhaps most impressive is the oft-photographed Temple IV, also known as the Double Head Serpent. The tallest structure in Tikal at 212 feet (64 meters), this pyramid rises majestically above the jungle canopy.

There is a lot to see in Tikal a place where flora and fauna live together in harmony where you can learn a lot of history and see the deep of the Guatemalan rain forest. Ran out of monkeys and raccoons, turkeys, and more than 200 species of birds living in freedom. Forget for 4 hours about the civilization and understand why the Mayans live there…

Don´t miss Tikal while in Belize you will regret it

Fun safe trip to Tikal
Everything went so smoothly on our trip to Tikal. Timely pick up and drop off at the boarder. Omar was so knowledgeable. We loved doing the private tour as we got to see and do the things in the order we wanted.

Awesome experience and customer service!
Had a wonderful experience yesterday June 26, 2022 with Tikal Go. Took advantage of their private tour for our family of 4. Marlon picked us up from our lodge in the forest in Belize, conveyed us to the border crossing, provided information on next steps and where to meet our Guatemalan guide Christian on the other side. Christian and our driver Sylvan drove us to Tikal while sharing much of the history ... more of the Mayan peoples of the greater Yucatán region. At Tikal Christian explained the unique architectural and astronomical precision of the temples and how they were built. We explored around the main plaza and climbed the magnificent Temple 4. Then we were treated to a delicious lunch in the only restaurant hidden in the forest! Christian and Sylvan then returned us safely to the border, we waved goodbye to our new friends and said hello to Marlon on the Belizean side. Marlon ensured all our passports had been appropriately stamped and we were good to go for our return to the lodge. We visited on a Sunday, so no issues with crowds or border crossing delays. An awesome day - unbelievable archeological site - and stellar experience with Tikal Go!! The drivers and our guide were consummate professionals. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Experience!!!
We had a fantastic time yesterday on our trip to Tikal. Every single aspect truely exceeded our expectations. My mom has mobility limitations, and they made sure to transport her to the base of the ruins, and patiently helped her navigate the four main temples. Our drivers did a great job, and our tour guide, Christian, was phenomenal! On a side note, the meal they provide is great. It's a very large ... more portion of gourmet food, and includes a free beverage. I'd highly recommend this tour group to anyone, with no hesitation or reservation!

Tikal is a blast!
Our Tikal Go drivers were great. Our tour guide, Christian, was a nice guy and obviously knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Tikal itself is fantastic. It's epic and grandiose, and well worth your time. One heads up though, be prepared for a lot of stairs.

Terrific Day at Tikal
Our group of 4 had a wonderful time on our TikalGo tour to the archeological site. Our Belizean driver was great and our Guatemalan driver and guide were equally so. All were welcoming, knowledgeable and very helpful. Our border crossing was seamless and our ride to Tikal was filled with pleasant conversation and information about the people and the country. Tikal, of course, was breathtaking. The ... more day started out overcast which was perhaps a bit disappointing in regard to picture taking, but the best regarding temperature! It was very pleasant. We arrived early and thus avoided crowds. There were still plenty of people around, but it was easy to move about and see all we wanted to see. One of our group was on the mend from a knee injury and our guide was able to secure us a place on the Jungle Jalopy. It was helpful for her to knock off the initial hike from the gate to the site. Due to the addition of stairs and landings, she was able to (slowly) climb with the rest of us to the upper level of a couple of temples to experience the spectacular views. Temple IV had been my favorite from a previous visit many years ago and I was rewarded again on this visit. It's beautiful to look out over the forest canopy. Especially as the clouds cleared to reveal a beautiful sky. Lunch was included in the tour and was delicious. There were several options to choose from and each of us found something we really enjoyed. There were a couple of shopping opportunities, but no pressure to buy. All in all, it was a truly excellent day. I highly recommend the experience with TikalGo.

Fabulous day out
We went on a private tour which was top class door to door service. This allowed us to leave at 6.30am which meant we missed all the border crowds. Noel was a great guide - gave us all the information we needed - and constantly checking we were enjoying the tour. Delicious lunch included! All in all we thoroughly recommend TikalGo

Tikal Tour was incredible! Go there.
We had a wonderful day trip to Tikal. We booked the trip for our family of four to do a private tour. We drove all over Belize but wanted to maximize our day to Tikal and booked a tour instead. Our guide, Noel, was absolutely wonderful to spend the day with and tour the area. He was friendly, highly knowledgeable, spoke amazing English and was patient and great with both our kids (ages 9 and 15). ... more The lunch provided was delightful and our 9 year old enjoyed learning how to make tortillas too. I'd highly recommend Tikal Go and Noel to anyone considering this trip.
