Rio Frio Cave has a huge opening and is easily accessible. Just a short walk from the parking lot, you will be able to explore this impressive cave, which has one of the biggest openings in all of Belize. The Rio Frio (Cold River) calmly flows through the cave, and you should be able to spot pieces of ancient Mayan Pottery. The mud in the river is often used for spa treatments, as it is rich in nutrients.

Take a short drive from Rio Free Cave to the very popular Rio On Pools. Your guide will first take you to an overlook where you can take stunning pictures of the natural pools and small waterfalls from above. Then take a short hike down to the pools, which is a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch or cold beverage as you relax in the small pools and waterfalls. Try out the fun natural waterslide, too!

After Rio On Pools, finish your day off with a swim at Big Rock Falls. This is a more challenging hike as you must climb down several sets of steep stairs to reach the falls. The view of the 150-foot falls and swimming in the deeper pools are worth the hike! After climbing back up the stairs, reward yourself with a delicious dinner at the nearby Blancaneaux Lodge, owned by famous filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. El Pilar is a Mayan Ruin located about 7 miles from Bullet Tree Falls village in Cayo, Belize.
