Description
Take an easy day and explore with leisure the site of Xunantunich and Cahal Pech. Once you have been picked up from your hotel, your tour takes off towards Xunantunich – Maiden of the Rock- where you will get to cross a manual-operated ferry before your arrival at the site. Once at the site, your guide will take you on a small walk to the site, and give you the history of this once-amazing city. You will get the chance to climb the tallest structure of El Castillo. Once the site tour of Xunantunich is complete a 20 min drive would get you to your next destination, the site of Cahal Pech, one of the oldest Maya cities around the region dating back to 1200 B.C. Your guide will take you through this city with its history and fascinating tales while you enjoy its architectural designs, a city where the plazas are interconnected with causeways and corridors and you can always find beautiful birds.
