Established in 1976, San Ignacio Resort Hotel is a Belizean and family-owned boutique Hotel located in the Cayo District, Western Belize. The Resort is centrally situated on a 17-acre private estate, 5-minutes away of Cahal Pech Maya temple and the popular San Ignacio Town—an area that features a variety of cultural, adventurous, and culinary experiences. We thank you for entrusting us to be your destination of choice for your upcoming getaway. Prior to your travel, here’s some important information to know about your stay at San Ignacio Resort Hotel:
• SIRH has implemented a training program to sensitize our team to the protocol prescribed by the Government of Belize on personal hygiene and COVID-19, which includes, the use of face masks, social distancing, cleaning and sanitizing, personal hygiene, employee health monitoring, and food safety.
• The use of masks is mandatory in public areas (country-wide) except while eating, drinking, swimming, and sunbathing.
• Repeated surface cleaning and sanitizing of all areas is being completed as well as increased access to alcohol-based hand sanitizers at prominent locations within the Resort (restaurant, lobby area, entrance).
• Social distancing decals have been placed throughout the lobby and around the pool area.
• All rooms are thoroughly disinfected before check-in, and after each checkout.
• All luggage is sanitized upon arrival.
• Our rooms have been simplified as required by the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) – all extra pillows, blankets, linens, rugs, and reusable collaterals have been removed to limit exposure. Extra items can be provided upon request.
• The seating in the Running W Restaurant and bar has been spaced out to allow for social distancing while dining in.
• Our restaurant now offers contactless menus and QR codes for quick access to our digital menus.
• Tables are no longer pre-set for in-house dining. Table setting is done after guests are seated.

Don't worry, we won't leave without you if your flight is delayed or arrives very close to the departure time. We try to accommodate all passengers and ask for some consideration if we need to wait a few minutes for other passengers. If you have a significant delay, we may switch you to the next departure if one is scheduled. The day's last departure will wait until all passengers are accounted for.
An optional hotel drop-off service is available to hotels and destinations within the town limits of San Ignacio and Santa Elena. Please select the appropriate add-on options when submitting your booking request. If you are not sure whether your hotel is within town limits, you may contact us to inquire or you may book the regular rate and book the additional service with the driver. We also offer service to destinations beyond town limits. The additional cost is usually determined by the distance from town.
