TOUR PLAN
DAY 1
Tikal Tour We'll pick you up at your hotel in San Ignacio and we'll go to the border where we'll help you with your customs procedures. Your Tikal Go Guide will be waiting for you at the Belize customs exit to start this adventure.
After an hour and a half on the way, we'll arrive at Tikal, the city of voices where we will visit the Grand Jaguar temple, Temple IV the tallest one, Temple II, Temple V, and the most hidden places of this incredible city. We will also discover the Rainforest, and see some of the more than 300 species of birds, monkeys, insects, and centenary trees that now live in the old Mayan city.
After Lunch, you will have free time before checking in at your hotel in Tikal National Park

DAY 2
Sunrise Tour We will start really early at 4 am our tour guide will be at your hotel to start the Sunrise tour from the highest temple in Tikal: TEMPLE IV. During our walk to the temple, we will have time to see the sky and understand how important was astrology for Mayas. We can’t promise to see the sun but we are sure this was the early morning of the Mayas so don’t be angry if is a bit foggy that is part of the adventure.
After Sunrise we will return to the hotel to have breakfast. You can choose to return to San Ignacio at 11:00 or after Lunch. We can also add a Stop in Flores for lunch (for an extra fee). Ask us about that option.

Lamanai (Maya for Submerged Crocodile) is one of the largest sites in Belize and is the Maya City with the longest period of occupancy lasting over 3,000 years. Each has been sculpted from a block of limestone instead of being molded from plaster over a stone which was the usual practice in the Maya world.

Grab some lunch as you catch your breath ahead of an expedition that takes you into the rainforest and to the mouth of a system of caverns fed by the Caves Branch River. Here, you pick up your tubing gear and set off to let the current carry you underground. You will then be taken on a short city tour where your driver/tour guide will be pointing out historical sites and give you some interesting stories about Belize City. From there you will take an exit on the Philip Goldson Highway for an hour and a half drive where you will get a chance to see some wetlands and flora and fauna along the highway. Your guide will also give you some brief information about the different walks of life in the small villages that you will pass.
After arriving at the Toll Bridge in Orange Walk we meet another guide from that area who is well knowledgeable of the area and will proceed to the Cuello’s distillery and the Mayan site for about an hour.
After visiting the rum factory you will then take a short ride on an off-road to the nearby Mennonite Community where you will be stepping back into time when horse and carriage used to be the only mode of transportation in Belize. You will get a chance to experience first-hand the simple life that they live farming, tending to their livestock, and also experiencing their food.

You will be picked up in Hopkins and head to Xunantunich with a local guide. The site was a major ceremonial center for the ancient Maya, and it was the first Mayan site in Belize ... moreto be open to the public in 1954. From the top of Xunantunich, you will get a spectacular panoramic view of the Cayo District and across the border in Guatemala.
Getting to Xunantunich includes riding a hand-cranked ferry to cross the majestic Mopan River.
After exploring Xunantunich and having lunch ( not included in the price), you will head to the Belize Caves. Here's where you start with a hike through the exotic rainforest to the mouth of the cave. The view is stunning as you float away from the cave entrance to your inner tube with only your headlamp to lead the way.
