The semi-private option has the same itinerary as our regular Mexico Rocks Day Sail (minimum 8 and maximum 16 guests) but with a minimum of only 4 guests and the guarantee of no more ... morethan 8 guests on board. This is something unique with us on the island, a great option to avoid crowds but yet share the fun with some other guests.
Our semi-private tours are also upgraded with our *Premium* Belizean buffet: Our captain's BBQ fish with veggies and secret sauce and our chef's home-made stewed chicken, rice and beans, flour tortillas, coleslaw, pico de gallo and fried sweet plantain.
*Premium* - the buffet on our semi-private tours also includes corn on the cob and your choice of 2 skewers: shrimp, beef, or mushroom

Explore the pristine Northern coast of Ambergris Caye, with amazing blue waters and beautiful views along the way. While we start our morning sail, we serve you fresh fruit and meat pies. At the end of 2015, Mexico Rocks became a part of the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, to protect its rich marine life and precious corals. We do our first stop for snorkeling there and then continue to our favorite spot - a shallow area close to the reef, that is just like a natural pool (great for non-swimmers as well)! Here we make a break to relax in the shallow warm water, while the crew prepares our famous *Premium* Belizean buffet on-board. After lunch, we return South doing a second snorkel stop at Tres Cocos. An open bar with local rum, vodka, gin, soft drinks, and juices is included. Try the specials, rum punch, and "panty rippers"!

Mexico Rocks is a relatively young marine reserve in Belize. It is an extensive patch of reef complex that is located north of Ambergris Caye in Belize. The reef patch at Mexico Rocks ... moreis virtually monospecific, composed of 83% montastrea annwaris, the major reef framework builder, and no lateral biotic zonation caused by different wave energy. This tour is combined with Tres Cocos, which is another popular snorkeling site in Belize. The best part? Both of these locations can be experienced in a half day.

Six miles north of San Pedro Town in North Ambergris Caye, you will find one of the most beautiful snorkel sites known as Mexico Rocks & Tres Cocos. Unlike many of the snorkeling ... morespots in Belize that are right on the barrier reef, Mexico Rocks & Tres Cocos is a star coral patch that is located in the shallow waters midway between the great barrier reef and the island of Ambergris Caye.

Mexico Rocks are known for many conches, banded shrimps, arrow crabs, grunts, yellowtail snappers, and an assortment of Butterfly and Angelfish. Tres Cocos is named after three tall coconut trees on shore used to locate the site. The reef here gets as shallow as four feet. Here you will find the most beautiful corals, colorful species of both large and small fishes, shrimp, parrotfish, fairy basslet, sea urchins, spider crabs, lobster, and many other small critters of the sea. You will also see magnificent elk horns, sea whips, and sea rods that make good protection for juvenile fishes. The highlights of this trip are the mountains of brain coral, which grow up to 20 feet. On the sandy seabed, you might even see stingrays, eagle rays, and peacock flounder. The nurse shark is a common site as well.

Mexico Rocks & Tres Cocos is protected from ocean swells and currents, so it makes for easier snorkeling, perfect for beginners. Depth is only about 6 to 12 feet, so you can see everything up close. Water visibility in this area of the crystal clear Caribbean Sea is about 50 feet or more.
