Rio Frio Cave has a huge opening and is easily accessible. Just a short walk from the parking lot, you will be able to explore this impressive cave, which has one of the biggest openings in all of Belize. The Rio Frio (Cold River) calmly flows through the cave, and you should be able to spot pieces of ancient Mayan Pottery. The mud in the river is often used for spa treatments, as it is rich in nutrients.
Take a short drive from Rio Free Cave to the very popular Rio On Pools. Your guide will first take you to an overlook where you can take stunning pictures of the natural pools and small waterfalls from above. Then take a short hike down to the pools, which is a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch or cold beverage as you relax in the small pools and waterfalls. Try out the fun natural waterslide, too!
After Rio On Pools, finish your day off with a swim at Big Rock Falls. This is a more challenging hike as you must climb down several sets of steep stairs to reach the falls. The view of the 150-foot falls and swimming in the deeper pools are worth the hike! After climbing back up the stairs, reward yourself with a delicious dinner at the nearby Blancaneaux Lodge, owned by famous filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. If you still have energy left, ask your guide to show you some hidden small ruins on your way back to San Ignacio.

You’ll depart from the island of Caye Caulker by sea on San Pedro Belize Express water ferry or by air on Maya Island Air; the choice is yours. Our guides will meet you upon mainland ... morearrival in Belize City before heading off to see this beautiful Maya Temple with wide-open spaces. The temples are easily climbed and are not as tall as Lamanai and Xunantunich.
After trekking an ancient home of the Maya, you’ll head west for a 90-minute drive towards Jaguar Paw for tubing. Once at the outpost, you will meet your tour guides who will issue inflatable tubes, headlamps, and life vests. You’ll be given a basic orientation and safety briefing before heading off on a 30-minute hike which includes wading through a few knee-deep water streams. Don’t let the hike worry you though; as it’s mostly on flat terrain, it is enjoyable and informative. It’s shaded by the rainforest canopy and our tour guides will point out flora and fauna noteworthy to the area. Once at the entrance of the cave system, it’s time for your cave-tubing adventure through the ancient Maya underworld. Inside, you’ll see intricate crystalline formations that line the cave with a majestic rise and fall of stalagmites and stalactites that add to the serene richness and grandiosity of Xibalba as it’s known.
If there’s time, and you’re open to added adventure, our guides may stop at the mini waterfall and swimming area. You would need to endure steep hills/steps and about 1 hour into the hike, there is a viewing point that puts you above the canopy and allows a perfect view of the tallest peak in Belize (Victoria Peak). After enjoying that breath-taking view, the hike resumes, heading along the hills towards the waterfalls. Once at the bottom and the waterfall is visible, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment. The hike is still not over, as a short walk going over the first waterfall brings you to the second and larger waterfall. Now you can relax, swim, reminisce and bask in the beauty and peaceful nature of the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Reserve.

Discover the highlights in the area on your private catamaran! We start the tour with snorkeling at Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. Watch from the boat or swim with them!
We then stop at the neighboring island Caye Caulker for approx. 2 hours of free time to explore the island and lunch at a restaurant of your choice.
After this we make another snorkel stop at the Coral Gardens area.
You can also choose to add our famous Belizean buffet to be served onboard instead, before arriving at Caye Caulker.
Then we can do the stop shorter on Caye Caulker (1 hour approx) and do one more snorkel stop, or stop at a shallow sandbar area on our return.
For groups of 8 guests or less, it is possible to do fishing instead as the last activity.
We finish the day with a sunset cruise while we serve you fresh ceviche. Enjoy the sunset over the open water, then watch Ambergris Caye change into its nocturnal aspect and hopefully, also the first stars!

Traditional Belizean dishes like stewed chicken and rice and beans with our Captain’s secret recipe BBQ fish! After lunch, we return South doing a second snorkel stop at Tres Cocos. Belize is one of the few places in the world to offer cave tubing, and it is the most popular tour available for guests.
